Marmot Up Track Soft Shell Jacket – Great Breathable Wear

The Marmot Up Track jacket is made of Marmot’s own soft shell fabric called M3 which is a double-weave nylon that has good wind, abrasion protection and moisture wicking, breathability. Add to the list of qualities the warmth of this jacket which could possibly be used to replace a fleece jacket for certain activities.
For more warmth the Up Track also features a high collar and a tight fitting hood. To keep the cold wind out there are drawcords on both the hem and the hood opening. Also the velcro tabs on the cuffs helps to ward off wind going up your arm.
Since this jacket already provide a level of warmth, it is probably best to just wear one layer underneath so you don’t overheat. The fit of the jacket is a little loose so there is room for a medium weight baselayer if you really needed.
