Asolo Reston / Athena Mid-Cut Hikers – Firm Support and Agile Hiking Boots

The Asolo Reston also called Athena for the womens model is a mid-cut hiking boot that is made of fabric and suede and is quite lightweight. Many wearers have said that it makes them more agile while on their excursions with its stable heel and light feel. A good bonus about the suede upper material is that it is very waterproof which also makes this an ideal boot in rainy situations.
The Asolo Reston / Athena is part of Asolo’s new line of “natural motion” boots for hikers which is low in weight and have great support. Both the outsole and midsole are designed with rounded edges and are low in profile, this way the hiker is less likely to hit obstacles and trip.
The Reston / Athena offers up good, but not great grip so watch out on wet slimy rocks and the support it offers while negotiating rugged terrain is rated high. The Asolo Reston / Athena is ideal for day hikes, but some wearers have pounded the trails with heavy backpacks for more than a day with these mid-cut hikers.
