The Mountain Hardwear Vertical Peak is an insulated hard shell jacket has lots of features. For one thing Mountain Hardwear the insulation in this jacket is very thin and it keeps you warm. The insulation is fused with the Dry-Q Elite waterproof, breathable shell material / fabric so the Vertical Peak jacket keeps you warm without making you sweat as the moisture gets pushed out of the breathable shell.

The Vertical Peak jacket is ideal for the slopes as there are soft wrist gaskets adn zip-off powder skirt to keep the powdery snow out. There are also a ski lift pass pocket located in the forearm and pockets for your ski goggle. The Mountain Hardwear has a built-in hood that is helmet friendly, but a some testers

say that the hood is a little small, this could be said about the arm pit zippers as well, they could be a bit bigger to vent out moisture faster.

The best thing about the Vertical Peak jacket is the weight, it comes in at only 2.4 lbs.
