By Editor | March 20, 2008
The Lafuma Active Raid GTX XCR trail running shoes can be described using one word, and that word is “Versatile”. There are several features that allow this trail runners to multi-task. First, each lase has two cord locks for adjusting ankle and forefoot volume independently, which allows a for an accurate fit whatever your foot shape may be, and gives toes breathing room without sacrificing ankle support after a long day of hiking.
A higher cut provides better than average ankle support and protection trail dirt and rocks and the curve rocker bottom allows for a sneaker like stride. The Lafuma Active Raid GTX XCR running shoe is supportive enough for hikers with 35 to 40 pounds of backpack weight, yet the Lafuma Raid is light enough for fastpacking, talus-hoping and even short distance trail running.
The Lafuma Active Raid shoes can subjected to wet snow, and thanks to the Gore-Tex XCR liner you will not any damp socks. The unisex sizing fit both men and women quite well. Wide-footed men though should buy a half-size up.
Traction was reliable on snow, wet rocks, packed dirt and small gravel, and the tough construction details such as double stitching and reinforced toes should keep the Lafuma Active Raid running shoes kicking around for several hundred miles.
