Sierra Designs Gnar Hoody – Very Capable 800-Fill Puffy Shell Jacket
By Editor | December 28, 2011
The Sierra Designs Gnar puffy hoody jacket is a great go to jacket in the winter time. It is lightweight and fit in your backpack or bag without taking up too much space. This shell jacket is treated with DWR for wet weather water resistant protection during heavy snow fall, and is lined with 800-fill down to keep you warm in cold weather down to -10 degrees.
Mind you the Sierra Designs Gnar hoody is not a parka, so you will need to layer probably underneath when it gets really cold.
The hood offers a tight fit which is great in snow squalls, wet flurries and really winding conditions for keeping the cold and wet out while keeping your head nice and toasty. One really cool feature of the Sierra Designs Gnar hoody jacket is that it has extra long sleeves which also has thumb holes, to help keep your hands warm, in those situations where you forgot your gloves somewhere else.
Price: $209
Weight: 11.5 oz
