The Ibex Shak Lite hald-zip is a base layer that goes on like a light sweater, well at least that is how it feels. You can wear it as a mid-layer for cold days on the slopes skiing / snowboarding or cold day hiking.
The material is not too heavy and it is stretchy and warm which makes it ideal for certain activities involving extending your arms. Also, the material is quite sturdy and less prone to wear down. The zipper from your neck to your chest is about 7 inches, this is good because if you feel hot and sweaty you can unzip to vent things out a bit.
