Danner Ascend GTX – Leather Hiking Boot
By Editor | December 12, 2009
The Danner Ascend GTX has a full grain leather construction and Gore-Tex liner plus soft EVA midsoles. It’s not a heavy and beefy hiking boot like some others out there, however it does offer very good support for your feet and ankles. If you have a 40-50 pound backpack and plan to hike the weekend then the Danner Ascend GTX hiking boot is for you.
The style of the Danner Ascend GTX boot is quite traditional, not a lot of newer styling queues in the design. For people with wide feet this boot will be a good fit, for narrow feet individuals it might not offer that snug a fit. The breathability of the Danner Ascend GTX hiking boot is not that good, so on hot days it might be an issue, however on cool days you will hardly notice.
Price: $170 USD Weight: 27oz
