To start off, the Marmot Aegis is just a good value at its price point of $140 USD, the reason being is because you would generally expect most high water-proof breathable shell with plenty of features to start around $200 USD.

The Marmot Aegis a stretchy and special 2.5 layer membrane, this is different than most other jackets which uses 3 layers. The end result here is lighter weight at 14oz, comfortable and stretchy which keeps you dry, comfy and happy instead of feeling damp.

Usually when you look at a price of a jacket of $140 USD you would think that it would lack some features, however with the Marmot Aegis you should not let the price fool you. You are going to get good value for your money here, and I’m sure that is music to your ears in the current economic condition the world is in. Featuring arm-pit zippers and mesh backed front pockets which helps to control both moisture and temperature, then there is the hood which can be rolled up and placed in the collar.
For some added comfort there are patches around the chin and behind the neck to help prevent rubbing and chaffing.

It’s very clear why the Marmot Aegis, has won awards from many outdoor gear magazines. The thoughtful design of the water-proof breathable shell jacket and it’s functional features the price for performance factor makes the Marmot Aegis a no brainer.
