Asolo Fugitive GTX Hiking Boots Provides Versatile Support
By Editor | February 19, 2009
The Asolo Fugitive GTX is one of those rare hiking boots that feels good the moment you put it on. Like most boots, the sole is a multi-layered affair: EVA cushioning, a Vibram-lugged outsole and a stiff shank. Unlike most other designs, the shank is positioned just below the foot instead of sandwiched between layers. The Asolo Fugitive GTX also has a thin, soft upper layer that conforms to your foot. Combined with the lightweight feel of this boot, the result is an incredibly responsive fit, right out of the box.
Keep in mind unlike other Asolo boots, these only come in one width. The Asolo Fugitive GTX is best suited to backpackers seeking a midweight boot stiff enough to carry heavy loads but light enough for day hikes.
Price: $250 Weight: 0.7 kg, 1.51bs
