North Face Altimont Jacket
By Editor | January 29, 2008
The North Face Altimont is a light-duty jacket for blocking wind and shedding water from the light shower. Not suitable for heavy long rain, as some wearers have experience the the water seeping in to their inner layers. This is just a waist length shell jacket and not a parka, it won’t protect anything below your waist. It is very light weight and packs easily into its own pocket. It has a full zipper in the front with a storm flap, two front zipper pockets for your hands, and a hood with a drawstring for when the weather turns bad.
Unfortunately there is no collar pocket for stowing, so the hood just hangs on the back. Two large interior pockets are great for holding things such as passports and other travel stuff. Sleeves have elastic cuffs. This model is made from 100% nylon. It is machine washable. it is available in yellow, red, blue, and black.
Price: $40 USD
