The Pak-Lite 9-volt flashlight is basically a 2 LED (light emitting diode bulb) encased in plastic that snaps onto the top of a 9-Volt battery and will burn steadily for month long trips. Yes, that is right….months on 1 alkaline 9-Volt battery. The Pak-Lite 9-Volt is available in a variety of brightnesses, flashing options, and even infared or ultraviolet bulbs, prices range from $26 – $30 for these options.
However, the basic model does plenty well, and is bright enough for night time trail use, and you can mount three seperate Pak-Lite 9-Volt light units together on an optional headband if you want hands free lighting. The headband cost about $7.
